Jarod Moss serves as General Counsel, overseeing all aspects of Legal and Compliance, including without limitation, assisting with due diligence, structuring and documentation of strategic acquisitions, providing assistance with JBBAT’s business strategy development, overseeing the drafting, review and negotiation of contracts, advising on corporate governance and employment matters, and identifying and managing legal risks as well as implementing strategies to mitigate such risks.
With over 25 years’ experience as a corporate M&A attorney, Jarod brings a deep understanding of the entire business ecosystem having previously practiced at a large, international law firm and as general counsel for companies in the real estate, technology, and healthcare industries. Jarod’s experience includes managing acquisitions, strategic growth initiatives, securities offerings and general corporate advice, focusing on relationship-building nuances that help organizations overcome roadblocks, achieve vital alliances and realize their strategic goals.
Jarod began his professional career in 1998 at Vinson & Elkins LLP, working in their Corporate Finance and Securities section. From V&E, Jarod transitioned from private practice to a general counsel role, initially working for Trammell Crow Company (Vice President and Assistant General Counsel), and then joining AmeriPath, Inc. (Vice President, Legal and Administration). At AmeriPath Jarod managed the company’s acquisition and strategic activities and worked alongside other management to consummate a sale of AmeriPath to Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in a transaction valued at approximately $2 billion. Jarod then joined United Surgical Partners International, Inc., (Senior Vice President, Stragey/Vice President, Development) assisting with their development and acquisition activities. While overseeing the Strategy Department, Jarod managed the rollout of USPI’s strategic initiatives. Following USPI’s sale to Tenet Healthcare Corporation, Jarod returned to private practice as a partner at Bell, Nunnally & Martin LLP.
Jarod is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southern Methodist University’s Law School, where he was on the Law Review.
